Man, these guys don’t mess around. Only half-a-year after releasing their debut album Coton, techrockers √thumm return with Yamatopia, their sophomore effort. If you can’t wait until July 28 for it to drop, the trio have uploaded quick snippets of the album’s tracks at their MySpace. While your there you can also take a listen to the band’s remix of a The Chef Cooks Me track. √thumm manage to – contentious opinion alert – improve the band’s music considerably, taking TCCM from spazzy indie-blah to a more moody territory where the once annoying vocals become a pleasant element of the music.
