Internet collective / netlabel Magic Yume has been kicking around for a few years now, putting out dreamy electronic artists who flirt with all sorts of Japanese imagery (anime girls, etc etc.). On new compilation Magic Yume Vol. 2, the bulk of songs come courtesy of Japanese artists, kicking off with the delicate “Answer” courtesy of producer Batsu. The pace picks up soon after via Chocoholic and U.S. producer FoxyPanda’s chopped-up “Do It!,” and only continues with the surging “Autumn Blue” via Yu-Dachi and, later, the sample-rific “Chime” from Takeaki Oda.
