We are waist-deep in year-end season, but let’s peel back from the lists for a second (ours to come next week maybe if I don’t melt into a puddle!) to look at 2016. It’s already shaping up to be an interesting year — that was before Utada Hikaru announced her spring comeback to music — and one of the first albums on our radar comes courtesy of Fraqsea, who will release Star Cocktail a couple of weeks into the new year. She’s shared “Always With U,” and it’s a shimmering bit of wooze-pop, bringing to mind the blurry pop of LLLL (who she worked with earlier this year), except inverted so that her voice drifts over wispy electronics.
