Thankfully, we have 99 Letters’ new 8-bit banger “O.LAND.I” on hand to soundtrack any impromptu apartment-jam urges one might. Osaka’s resident Nintendo-tinkerer does what he does best on this song, unleashing a fury of Tetris-ready noises over a club beat, weaving through several segments over the course of “O.LAND.I’s” nearly-five-minute run. He squeezes in a few creepy touches – some sort of phantom voice near the beginning – but for the most part this is heads-down dance music. Makes Monday sting a little less. Listen below.
