Sometimes Nagoya’s House Of Tapes uncovers melodic beauty in pummeling noise…and sometimes he zooms off into more discombobulated terrain, where the pretty elements only pop up in split-seconds. “Rusty Pop Noise” most certainly falls in the latter, as it is a jarring collection of piano notes and barbed synth, prone to sudden tempo changes and moments where once-clear melodies suddenly break apart. Yet like DJwwww…well, not that intense…those brief moments where everything just clicks end up all the sweeter. Listen above.
