New Silvanian Families: Define

Electronic outfit Silvanian Families has a new two-song collection out via Sabacan Records. Opening number “makerlights” teases glitched-out minimalism, nothing but a skittery song with a barely-there beat and some vocal samples waterbugging across it. But then it picks up the pace, and closes out as a jaunty number. “My Circle And Your Circle” is the better of the two, though, as it finds Silvanian Families embracing Avec-Avec-style synth blurbles until the whole song just blows open into a technicolor whirl.
