It’s been tough to focus on…anything…recently, something that has no doubt frustrated numerous editors I work with. And, similarly, it has been tougher to motivate myself to seek out new music, even though it is probably a nice break from the crushing loop of 1. refresh Twitter 2. see what has just happened now. Tokyo producer Sync Test’s “Leaves, Collapse” is one of the few things I’ve stumbled across that feels apt for this week, a swirling mess of synths that grows more intense as the song trudges forward. Best of all, there is no resolution — just a stream of noise. Apt for now, at least for me. Listen above.
