New 80kidz: “Voice”

You thought 80kidz had a busy 2009…wait until you see this year’s itinerary. Constant touring aside, the electro duo plans on releasing three EPs starting with the Voice EP that popped onto iTunes this Wednesday. The blog post announcing it also hints at the possibility of their second album dropping this year.

For now, we have “Voice.” The crunchy dance noises peppered all over 80kidz music appear here, but the big development is an arena-ready guitar line at the song’s heart. It adds the emotional element present on their best songs (usually featuring guest vocalists) and sounds damn catchy. M83 ready for a night out. Listen to a sample on MySpace, or be a good person and hear the entire Voice EP by buying it on iTunes.

The rest of “Everybody Plays The Music” features sliced-up vocals (or French???) that…
