New-Albeit-Lost-To-Time Friends: “Brilliant”

Last night, lo-fi beach party dude Friends tweeted about a “shelved song that will never be released.” Except maybe on YouTube, as the canned track in questions can be heard above. “Brilliant” isn’t a huge change for the Friends project – still plenty of fuzz, still plenty of submerged vocals underneath said fuzz – though it actually does sound a little more distorted than some of the other stuff he’s put out. Consider this a nice little outtake for an artist heading in some interesting directions.
