If you like heartfelt longing coated in a bunch of synths, Give Me Wallets are the group for you. They have a new album on the horizon, and “In My Dreams” gives a good preview of what to expect. It`s sparkly and bright, the group giving very little room for silence, every second full of some electronic whizz or digi beat. It descends from the more straightforward pop of Cut Copy and the heart-on-sleeve singing of The Brixton Academy, although it isn`t quite as earnest as the latter – rather, the overall effect is that of dreaminess, except packed with details and almost too crowded. Yet they still deliver a good chorus, and even if they could use a little room to breathe, it`s a good rush.
