Idoling Along: Parkgolf And Nyolfen Team Up With Sakura Yura
The overlap between Internet-centric producers and idol pop continues shrinking. Maltine Girls’ Wave was the year’s biggest breakthrough, but it won’t be an isolated case. Sakura Yura is a rising idol…not a nobody but a far cry from, say, Tokyo Girls’ Style…and she’s teamed up with two producers repping two different netlabels. The first is…
New LLLL: Mirror
Mirror by LLLL

New White Wear: “White Six Strings”
Here is White Wear at his most stripped down to date, and quite possibly the most minimalist any track to emerge from the shadows of CUZ ME PAIN has ever been. “White Six Strings” is White Wear armed with only a guitar…and save for a few edits here and there (a hiccup at the start,…
New Occult You: “Red Car”
Let’s start the week with something we dropped the ball on totally. This new song from Occult You (a side-project from one of Japan’s finest music makers today Taquwami) came out nearly two weeks ago, and is a solid groover. It takes cues from a song the Occult You project released a couple years back,…
