New Nayutanayuta: “Sorrow”

Previously Nayutanayuta has sounded like a group aiming for deep space, and on new song “Sorrow,” they continue making the most of that electric vocal glaze to great effect. “Sorrow” is — swerve — one of the bouncier and more upbeat sounding songs they’ve recorded in 2015, pushed forward by neon keyboard notes and a generally skippy hook. What separates it from the black-hole of Japanese indie rock is the singing, turned electric and giving “Sorrow” an extra surge. Listen above.
