The end of the year is fast approaching (!!!), so let’s take a moment to appreciate all that Fukuoka’s Yesterday Once More label did in 2015. They’ve been one of the consistently solid electronic imprints over the past 12 months, with some really stellar works put out. One of those was Shigge’s SunLimeJuice, and now the producer is back with the tight Tiny Block collection. He’s once again using split-second vocal samples as central ingredient in his music, and they add a dizzying feel to the house-throwback “Heat.” The highlight, though, is finale “Too Much,” which pulls off some nice tension by starting as a sparse slapper before teasing an eruption — and then slowing down again.
