New Snail’s House: “Pixel Galaxy”

Kawaii-leaning producer Snail’s House has a new EP out in February, and has shared a preview via the chirpy 8-bit bouncer “Pixel Galaxy.” Over the past year, Snail’s House has been exploring new terrain with his sound, but this comes off more like a bit of his go-to style run through a Game Boy Color. “Pixel Galaxy” pogos forward, bordered by a few hyper-bright samples and moments where preferred game soundtracks sneak through. boy from HOTEL MEXICO on Vimeo.

    1. What has been stunning about the music released by Tokyo artist May.e up until now has been her ability to turn nothing but acoustic guitar and her voice…and every once in a while, the slightest of percussion…into a hypnotic swirl. She pulled a nifty trick last year by releasing two albums, a move that…

  • Threedays Film

A lot of people moan about “indie” music nowadays, how it all sounds the same and how so many bands eschew taking risks in favor of playing it boringly safe in hopes of landing on a movie trailer. And those people would be…pretty damn right, actually, there is a lot of pulse-less “indie” being put…
