Lookin’ Down: PLASTIC GIRL IN CLOSET

What is it about shoegaze music and Japan? I stumble across more bands citing My Bloody Valentine as an influence than anything else. I guess this country just loves them some dream pop. The latest entrant into this field is PLASTIC GIRL IN CLOSET, a duo making feedback-heavy rock. They released a new album, Toy, last week, and the lead single from that LP “Stars Falling Down” pretty much hits every shoegaze pleasure point. Watch below.

If that doesn’t sell you on the band, PGIC are currently streaming little snippets of every song from Toy at their MySpace. Highlights include “Labyrinth” and “Sleepwalk.”
