Acid Clank caught attention last year for a solid collection of shoegaze-smeared indie-pop, but for the new two-song set Night In, the solo project moves in a sparser direction. The title track is a moodier, slower number where the rushing fuzz gets replaced by more air and heartfelt singing that, while not right up front, still comes across more clearly than on the last Acid Clank album. If the guitar-squall of before hid elements of Acid Clank, Night In strips that back and lets the innards come out. Get it here, or listen below.
