Fidgety is the word for Osaka producer Metome’s offering, even more so than usual. “Mother Data” pops and locks all over the place, a flurry of synths zooming in from the left while some processed bass notes zip in on the right, never really meeting in the middle but sorta bouncing off one another as some disembodied voices talk like computers. Whereas a lot of his slice-and-dice creations resemble fellow Kansai native Seiho, this one has more in line with the clicking work of Brooklyn’s Obey City. Listen below.
