Tokyo’s Sapphire Slows went to the first term of the Red Bull Music Academy in Paris last November, and while there she teamed up with Russian artist Dub I Prosto Erevo for the bouncy synth jam “Come So Far.” The partnership is a bit sunnier than either artist’s solo work, though a few edges stick out — their are moments when the beat seems just off, while the vocals are shrouded in a bit of electric haze, both details adding a very slight bit of unease to the song. But for the most part, this is an upbeat number apt for the coming Spring. Listen above.
