New A Taut Line: “Clouds At Night”
Diskotopia’s Matt Lyne returns with a new A Taut Line song, and it’s a tad disorienting. In a similar vein to his sweat-soaked summer number “In This Heat,” “Clouds At Night” feels surprisingly claustrophobic, a series of dizzying electronics woozing around the song’s main beat. It feels like a bad dream wrapped around a dance track…and it’s an absolute thrill to listen to. I listened to it for almost an hour straight trying to figure out what it reminded me of, but I’ve got nothing – I just want to kept getting swept up inside this thing.
