The latest from Nagoya’s Masahiro Araki a.k.a Fredricson, of folk-pop outfit Remigai, is a bouncy electronic number seemingly borrowing ideas from beat making, but arranging them into a lively and squiggly form that requires no vocalist. Guitar strings and pitch-mutating vocal samples intertwine out the gate, before some brighter electronic sounds hop their way and take over guide duties. It’s a sunny number with enough detours — flute detours, at that — to stay compelling for all of its just-over four minute run. Listen above.
