Nite Jewel Remixes Cuushe’s “Shadow”

This blog has been singing the praises of Cuushe for a while…whether in her solo state or working under the Neon Cloud name…so you probably don’t need more sentences here gushing about one of Japan’s best dream-pop makers going (hmmmm, lot of praise in that sentence, already too late). Well, here’s a reminder that her just-released Night Lines EP is lovely…albeit dark…and is very much worth your time. The physical version of the EP, and the digital one in the last sentence, come with a remix of the song “Shadow” by Los Angeles artist Nite Jewel. Under The Radar premiered the rework, which puts a little more pep into Cuushe’s step a couple days ago, and you can hear it above.

  • New Taquwami: “All My Life”

[youtube=”http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YpYGXVVNaxk”] Indie-pop darlings anymori aren’t messing around. On new song “革命,” the trio dash through a guitar-centric bounce-around in just under two minutes, slowing down only once or twice during the short playtime. Nothing that you’d call complex, but andymori usually likes to operate in that way – favoring simple, driving tracks that allow them…

Here’s an album title that sums everything up neatly. The Mari On The Beach’s Lovely, Pretty, Cute & Happy collects the Osaka group’s “pop tunes,” with an overriding theme of “speed, density and catchy.” They did a pretty solid job of putting this album together going by those guidelines – Lovely, Pretty, Cute & Happy…

Twin synth-dreamers CRYV tease another slice of wide-eyed wonder on the just-released-on-iTunes track “Somewhere, They Can’t Find Girls.” A mouthful, I know. The duo have a short sample of the track running wild over here. From the brief bit available online, CRYV continue their bid to open for Jonsi, merging galloping beats with big dreamy…
