This Monday, Shibuya club Womb will host Out Of Dots, an electronic-music event featuring a stuffed lineup of Japanese artists creating futuristic tunes. There are a lot of artists performing at this shindig – enough to fill three floors, it looks like – so Out Of Dots has uploaded a compilation of these performer’s music. Hope you have a spare afternoon to listen to the whole thing, because there are 26 tracks here, and they aren’t all short. For us, the best stretch of this comp starts at track 16, with Maltine-associate Silvanian Families easy-breezy number “Families Walks,” which is followed by a new song from Seiho called “Blue Elegant.” Then you get some minimal, post-dubstep sounds from Fazerock followed by space-filled number from Submerse before closing with a slow burner from Madegg. There are plenty of other highlights scattered across the compilation – Dub-Russel provide their usual brand of skittering, technological hellscape with “Nagwares 2 Me,” which Fugenn & The White Elephants try to match with the fast-paced “Thunder.” A few other quick highlights – Acerola Beach, Himuro Yoshiteru and Quarta 330. Get it here.
