Trekkie Trax continue a pretty fantastic 2015 with another supercharged release from a talented Tokyo producer. Kan Takahiko’s “NRG” doesn’t need to pull any tricks to shine — all it has to do is blast forward, work in one bit of a breather (that really is just a way to ramp the energy up further), and keep on zipping ahead. The key ingredient is the vocal sample galloping alongside the music, a frantic blast of electrified words that adds to the energy. Listen above.
