New PARKGOLF: “Kiss Me”

Some jittery goodness coming your way from Sapporo’s PARKGOLF, who has been having a very nice 2013. “Kiss Me” is his latest display of herky-jerky electronic music, a hyperactive blast that opens with handclaps before zipping off into the main part, a disorienting passage anchored by some manipulated vocals singing the titular phrase. The best moments are the second-long glimpses of sounds dashing in and out of the track. Check the tight bass (serious Seiho vibes) or the piano line that just rips through at one point, never to be heard again. Listen below.

    Teen Runningsが何とカリフォルニアのインディーポップバンドのSea Lionsとスプリット作品”Home Recordings”をリリースするみたいです。彼等を”purveyors of indie and bedroom pop”（インディーとベッド・ルームポップの供給者）と紹介するNeotomic Records!がこの”Home Recordings”を限定版のカセットとしてリリースするとの事。Teen RunningsはMaroon 5の”Won’t Go Home Without You”のカバーや、ネットに出回ってたりする過去２年のデモ・トラック等を収録する模様。今は”We’ll Never Stay Together” が聴けるようになっていて、これはTeen Runningsの長所だけを強調した名曲です。さびれたボーカルをフィーチャーした爽やかなサーフ・ロックで、全てはフィードバックで崩されています。試聴はこちらから。

    現在大阪で多くの素晴らしい音が誕生しています。今年の夏にも、現在の関西の音を象徴するといっても過言ではない、２つのコンピレーション・アルバムがリリースされました。最新のは”Yellow Print (Side-A)”で、”puredogma”からリリースされています。このアルバムを既に紹介しているブログ、Simon Saysによると、”puredogma”は、Solei Soleiいわく、”レーベルとかでは無くてこれを通してクリエイティブな事をやろう”というアイディアだそうです。Solei Soleiの”Olympic” は、ロンドンというよりはイビザのような雰囲気で、Outdoorminer(Cloudy Buseyの別プロジェクト)の “Love Has Them”は、現代版９０年代アシッド・ハウスのようです。Okaryu、watervehicleとchiccamagicaも参加していて、魅力的なトラックで溢れています。ダウンロードはこちらから。視聴は以下から。 Yellow Print (Side-A) by V.A. 大阪のDay Tripperも、アメリカのレーベルAstro Nauticoとタッグして、”7 By 7″をリリースしました。このプロジェクトではAstro Nautico所属のメンバー７人が黒澤明の七人の侍をサンプリングし、日本人のメンバー７人も同様に、ジョン・スタージェスの荒野の七人をサンプリングしています。お互いのカルチャーを分かち合うという意味で面白いコンセプトだな、と思ったのですが…それだけではありませんでした。楽曲の出来映えも素晴らしく、映画の台詞もふんだんに聴こえてきます…もちろん二カ国から。ダウンロードはこちらから。視聴は以下から。 7 by 7 – Astro Nautico x Day Tripper by Astro Nautico

  • Taquwami Teams Up With Ruddyp: “Hold”

    東京のプロデューサーTaquwamiは、ネットのシーンに属している、と先月話してくれました。「僕自身は東京、というか特定の地域のシーンとは繋がってないんじゃないでしょうか。どちらかと言うと地域関係なくインターネット上でって感じじゃないかなーと。なんていうかChillwaveよりはBeat重視でWitch House/Trap/Hiphop全部突っ込んだみたいななんともいえないくくりのelectronic musicがインターネットであるじゃないですか。」Taquwamiが今までコラボレートしてきたアーティスト達も、彼同様の環境で音楽を配信しています。たとえ違う国に住んでいても、そこで交流し、繋がれるのが最高の利点。最近ではヴァージニア州を拠点としているRuddypと共同で”Hold”をリリースしています。Blurrywonderで聴けるようなドラムパターンやボーカルが使われているものの、”Hold” はそのEPよりも極めてゆったりとしたペースで進みます。以前もそのようなテンポの曲はありましたが、Ruddypのテイストが加わる事により、Taquwamiの楽曲とはまた違った面白さが引き出されています。視聴は以下から。
